Guests

 

Guests are the responsibility of their sponsoring member, including failure to turn up the member may be charged, informing the handicap administrator of an accurate handicap, their conduct both on the course and in the clubhouse.

 

Guests may not participate in any of the society competitions with the exception of ‘nearest the pin’ and ‘Longest drive’ competitions played at each event. They May play in a pairs competition but will always be paired with a member.

 

League Championship.

 

Played over 10 rounds of golf.  Each round is scored as a stableford stroke play competition.  Following each round points between 30 and 5 are allocated to each player based on their finishing position relative to the other competitors  The player with the highest aggregate points at the end of the year from 9 out of the 10 events will become the league champion.

 

Captain’s Cup.

 

The captains cup is normally played for during the August event. The format of is at the discretion of the Captain with the only stipulation being that it must be compatible  the league championship event which is played at the same time.

 

Hackers & Slashers Aggregate Cup.

 

On joining each member is allocated to one of two teams, either the Hackers or the Slashers.  Guests are allocated to either team on an event by event basis.  The winner of the Aggregate cup is the team with the highest number of event wins over the season.  The winner of an event is determined by the highest aggregate stableford score of the individual team members.  Where the teams are uneven in number the lowest scores of  the additional individuals in the largest team shall be discounted.

 

H&S Ryder Cup.

 

A competition between  the Hackers & Slashers normally played at the October event.  Pairings of Hackers & Slashers are made by the team Captains.  The individual with the highest stableford score in a pairing wins a point for his respective team (½ point awarded for a draw).  The cup is awarded to the team with the greatest number of points at the end of the event.

 

Memorial Cup.

 

Pairs competition normally played at the September event in memory of Dale Martin & Mick Bent.  The trophy is awarded to the pair with the highest combined Stableford score on the day.

 

College Pines Trophy.

 

Presented to the member with the highest Stableford score at College Pines.
